Please ensure you have read and understand the following

Registration form

A completed registration form must be received before attending classes.

Waiting list

In order to be added to an appropriate waiting list a completed registration form must first be received.

If you have been placed on a waiting list but no longer wish to attend our classes, please inform the office as soon as possible.

Trial Fees

Trial fee payment must be made prior to attendance. Payment must be made via our online payment portal. Trial fees are non-refundable.

If you are absent your trial session can be rolled over however, your three trial sessions must be taken within a five week period from the date booked.

Member fees

Our class fees are broken down into six half-term blocks. The length of these is defined by the Barnsley school term time calendar & therefore varies between 4 to 8 weeks.

Invoice envelopes are issued in advance of the next half-term & payment must be received by the date stated.

Please note that fees secure places within the class and therefore are due in full regardless of your child’s absence. No refunds or deductions are given due to illness or holiday.

Payments may be made by cash or bank transfer.

Please inform us via text or email if your child will be absent from our class.


We advise that your child arrives 5 minutes prior to their class start time. Class teachers reserve the right to refuse entry to latecomers, in order to minimise class disruption.


StarMovers students are not required to wear a set uniform however, appropriate footwear must be worn – leather full soled ballet shoes with elastics (bare feet suitable for new starters). We ask that students wear clothing that allows for free movement.

For health and safety reasons, no jewellery is permitted to be worn by our students.

Food and drinks

No food or drinks are to be consumed within our classes.

Class changes

We understand that your circumstances may change which means you may require a different day/time/venue. We will always try our best to accommodate your child in a different class where required.

Class places

If you no longer require your place within our class we ask that you inform us as soon as possible, allowing us to offer your place to someone on our waiting list.


Please notify the class teacher immediately if your child sustains an injury during one of our classes.

If your child has a pre-existing medical condition please ensure that you include details of this on the registration form.

Property and possessions

StarMovers can not be held responsible for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged. Parents/carers are asked to ensure property and possessions are kept safe during class.
